There are only 2 options:
Either the universe created itself,
Or something created the universe.
Escape velocity and Albert Einstein's Theory of Realitivity show that it is impossible for the universe to expand from a singularity.
Isaac Newton's 3rd law of motion shows it is impossible for the universe to create itself.

Would you nail your child to a tree for someone who didn't care to know you?
That's what God did for you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " John 3:16
Why is the cross necessary? Most don't realize that sin seperates us from God, He cannot have it in His presense and one day He will seperate sin and anyone who dwells in it from Him. So He would get the glory God sacrificed His only son, the only perfect sinless man on the cross so we can live with Him one day and He with us. All He asked us to do was believe and repent. Out of this vast universe, that mighty God came down to this speck of dust in this massive universe for us. Because He loved us, He loved you. He left the flock just to find you. The world is full of poverty, sickness, death and selfish pleasure. it's not because of Him, it's because of the enemy Satan. This wasn't God's original design for this world. We decided to go our own way and look at how things turned out. Out of His love he gave us a way back to Him and that it through the cross.
